Christianity is about believing in a person called Jesus Christ.

It’s about believing that there was a man called Jesus who lived in Palestine 2,000 years ago who did many amazing things, acted with deep love & compassion and taught with great wisdom. And also that he was crucified on a Roman cross, died and was buried – but was restored to life three days later.

It’s about believing that this man was also the Son of God – and that God sent Him into the world to heal the broken, to free the oppressed and to restore God’s wonderful creation which we have messed up so badly.

It’s about believing that Jesus returned to His Father in heaven and is still alive there today and that He sends His Spirit into the lives of those who choose to follow Him.

It’s about recognising that men and women have failed and have made mistakes and that this results in separation from God but that believing in this Jesus can restore that relationship.

It’s about seeking to live as followers of Jesus as opposed to any other thing or person that is available to us

It’s about experiencing what Jesus meant when he spoke about living life “to the full” (John 10:10) and believing what He said to His followers about being “the way, the truth and the life” and the only way to God (John 14:6)
