I find that listening is one thing, remembering and holding on to it, allowing it to really take root is quite another.

Have you found any techniques that are particularly helpful in this?
For me I rely a lot on technology:
- writing reminders for things I need to reflect on / follow up
- taking electronic notes linked to passages etc that I then am reminded of when I come across that passage again
- highlighting verses / sections of books / articles
But I know this type of approach wouldn't work for everyone so interested to see what others may have come up with
