One of the mysteries of the Christian faith is that we worship and serve the God who is “three-in-one”, the God who is Father, Son and Spirit.

Is this something we tend to ignore or something that we find wonderful and helpful in our relationship with God?

How do you understand the “Trinity”?

Reading: Galatians 4:1-7

Questions to think about:

  • How much of a shock do you think it was for the early believers – steeped in the worship of “one God” – to recognise that Jesus shared in God’s identity? Have we lost some of that wonder?
  • What does it mean to you that the Father was willing to send His Son into the world, to send His Spirit into our lives?
  • How does an awareness of the Trinity affect the way you think about / relate to God?
