On their way into the Temple to pray Peter and John saw a lame man begging. Instead of ignoring him and moving on they stopped, spoke with him, connected with him.

While they couldn’t help with the problem he was focused on (they didn’t have any money to give him) they were able to help with the real problem (not being able to walk).

Sometimes when we come alongside people we find that there are deeper issues than appear on the surface and our privilege – through the power of Jesus – is to bring blessing and comfort into those.

Are we prepared to be those kinds of comforters? Are we prepared to allow others to comfort us?
