As we continue our Advent series we’re thinking about what was involved in the Son of God being human – becoming one of us.

What does it mean, why was it necessary, what are the implications?

What difference is it going to make to us as we prepare for Christmas?

Reading: John 1:1-14

Questions to think about:

We know that when God’s Son became one of us he wasn’t welcomed but rejected (John 1:10-11). Why do you think that was, why do you think the same thing happens today?

What do you think of the idea of Jesus being one person with two natures? How do you understand this?

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). In what ways are you hoping to meet with Jesus this Advent and Christmas-time?
